We needed a place to stay near the airport near the end of our trip. We saw on Costco.com that Villa del Palmar Flamingos was a recommended spot and were we to be able to book through Costco, it would have been a good deal. But since we just walked in the door and wanted only two nights we payed through the nose. Then we felt we were "nickel and dimed to death" as Adam put it. The charge for the Internet was outrageous, there were hidden fees added to our room service, and the valet guy said we should let him park our car because it was cheaper than using the parking garage (later we found the garage to be free).
